Clues Help Explain genetic hair loss

A new study suggests that defects in the hair follicle stem cells, how stem cells can be a cause for juniors androgenetic alopecia (AGA) are. AGA is a common form of hair loss in men and women, including male pattern baldness.

Stem cells are blank pages in the cellular world and form the basis of cell specialization. Progenitor cells are the next step in cell development.

The researchers say that hair loss is associated with a significant decrease in the size of hair follicles, which could lead to loss of stem cells or hair follicle stem cells are related to normal development necessarily connected.

To test this theory, the researchers compared the number of such cells in cell samples and not bald people meeting soon.

The results, which was in the Journal of Clinical Investigation published, showed that samples from bald head and has a significantly smaller number of stem cells for the normal development of hair follicles.
